Complete functional plumbing system within the buildings shall be designed,

3. WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM

Water supply pipe sizing shall be based on fixture unit method as recommended by

Water supply piping system shall be designed to serve various fixtures appliances
in the facility buildings.
Water distribution system shall be provided with necessary valves, backflow
preventers, pressure regulating valve, water hammer arresters, automatic vents and
strainers, as required. Toilet fittings shall have mechanism to prevent any back
pressure of water.
Water source serving each building shall tie-in to external water supply network.

4. DRAINAGE SYSTEM

Sanitary and wastewater originating at domestic plumbing fixtures and appliances


shall be drained by gravity through a drainage piping network to the building exterior
sewer line system.
Horizontal drainage piping, within the building, shall be laid to a uniform slope as
recommended by the applicable plumbing code. A minimum slope of 2% will be
used for pipes of 100 mm dia. or larger. Cleanouts shall be provided according to
code requirements.
The building sanitary system shall be provided with a venting system consisting of

sanitary vent lines originating at fixture traps and ending at main vent lines leading
to the building roof. The vent line network shall be sized to allow air circulation in the
drainpipes to minimize atmospheric backpressure and to prevent traps siphonage

5. ROOF WATER DRAINAGE SYSTEM

All roof areas shall be drained by means of scupper drains to surface drainage
system. Secondary roof drainage shall be provided in accordance with the
applicable plumbing and building codes.
Pipe material for storm water from roof areas, above and below grade within the
building, shall be Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Sch40 or as recommended by applicable
plumbing codes. All exposed storm PVC drainpipes shall be cladded or protected
by an approved and acceptable method from moisture and sunlight degradation.
