Thank you for taking the time to fill out an application and share more of your story with us. By
applying for Beach Lifeguard - Castaway Cay, you have expressed interest in taking the first
step in embarking on a new career with Disney Cruise Line.

We are excited to share we are hosting in-person interviews and swim assessments and would
like to invite you to join us! Your application piqued our interest, and we are eager to learn
more about you. Meeting you in-person will allow us the opportunity to discover more about
your background and experience including your ability to tread water, retrieve a brick from a
depth, and your swimming capacities. A requirement of this role is to pass a pre-hire swim test
and successfully complete lifeguard certification training throughout your contract, so
participation in this assessment will allow us to evaluate your readiness.

Attending the swim assessment is a chance to meet our team, learn what to expect on
Castaway Cay, and get real-time feedback about your techniques! If you are able to practice
beforehand, we strongly encourage this.

Your interview and swim test is on May 30th at 9:00 am. When you arrive to the facility, you
will check in and prepare to interview with a member of the Disney Cruise Line Recruiting
team. Once your interview has concluded, you will get into the pool to complete the swim test
requirements of the Beach Lifeguard position. Please plan to spend up to an hour with us.

*This is an outdoor facility.

Swim test requirements:

• Swim 200 yards with the first 100 yards in one minute and 50 seconds or less
• Tread water for two minutes without the use of hands
• Retrieve a ten-pound brick from eight feet of water
 Here are some reminders:
• Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time slot, and ensure you are wearing a
face covering and maintaining social distancing from other individuals.
• If you feel sick or have any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend this event.
• Wear a swimsuit and bring your own towel. Goggles are optional.
• Please bring a form of government issued photo identification with you.
