Valeria: Rut, have you seen who is the richest man in Peru?

Ruth: Yes, and I’m surprised at how fortunate he is.

Valeria y Rut: He is Carlos Rodríguez Pastor, who was born on April 11, 1959 in Lima,
Peru; Currently he is 65 years old, he is considered the richest man in Peru where his
fortune is 10,000 million. Being Executive President of Intergroup, he is a skilled and
supportive person. Carlos Rodríguez comes from a family with social status, which in life
was his father Carlos Pastor Mendoza, former minister of economy and finance. From a
young age he studied at private universities such as Dartmouth College and the University
of California, where he obtained a degree in business administration. From a young age
he worked in a New York banking conglomerate. When he returned to Peru he worked
with his father at the Interbank bank, over time he managed to form “Peruvian
Supermarkets” in 2003. That same year he founded the Casa Andina hotel chain, he has a
family made up of seven children and his wife Gabriela Pérez Rochietti where they seem
very happy in interviews.

Rut: He has received the title as the most millionaire man in Peru, with which with his
fortune he has managed to create stores to give work access to the Peruvian population,
he has participated in CADE, where every year he gives conferences to executives to
grow their ventures, It has helped better development in Peru, encouraging companies to
use new technologies.
