1 Description of function
1.1 The equipment must be compact Thulium Fiber Laser (TFL) with
minimum power setting of 60 watt.
1.2 The equipment should be intended for the procedures like soft
tissues, stones, bladder neck incision, strictures, Tumors,
Endopyelotomy etc. should be able to perform Lithotripsy, 82
Coagulation, Ablation and prostate Enucleation.
2 Operational Requirements
2.1 The equipment should be able to perform Lithotripsy,
Coagulation, Ablation and prostate Enucleation.
3 System Configuration
3.1 Thulium Fiber Laser should be provided with complete standard
accessories.
4. Technical Specifications
4.1 The power setting of the equipment should be 60 Watt.
4.2 The equipment must have pulse and continuous wave mode for
the versatility of equipment.
4.3 The equipment should be free from Flash Lamp, & De-ionizing
cartridge and water Filters so that equipment runs on low cost.
4.4 The equipment should come with Blast shield (inbuilt or external)
for the safety of internal parts and good performance of the
device.
4.5 The equipment must have emergency switch off button.
4.6 The equipment should have storable settings for, stone dusting &
Fragmentation and soft tissue applications.
4.7 Should have 5 inches or more touch screen display.
4.8 Should have double footswitch to operate two different modes
present in the screen and separate switch for ready and standby
mode.
4.9 Should have at least 7 step pulse setting in pulsed mode for the
great versatility in hard stone and soft tissue treatment.
4.10 Should not have active RFID, should have standard fibers, ball tip
fibers and Gastro fibers ranging from 150 to 1000 micron
reusable unlimited times of cases.
4.11 The laser machine should have:
Laser Power: adjustable up to 60W for different modes
Wavelength: 1.9 µm.
Energy: 0.02-6J
Frequency: 1 to 2500 Hz
Pulse Duration: 100μs - 12000μs (Continuous)

Machine must be portable to move from one OT to another.
4.12 Following accessories should be supplied along with following
equipment:

a) Fiber 150 micron- 2 no.
b) Fiber 200 micron- 2 no.
c) Fiber 365/400 micron- 2 no.
d) Fiber 550/600 micron- 2 no.
e) Fiber 800/1000 micron- 2 no.

Accessories:
a) Laser Inspection Scope- 1 no.
b) Laser safety goggles – 2 no.
c) Fiber Cutter – 1 no.

5 Terms and Condition
5.1 The supplier must submit the original brochure or e-copy.
5.2 Should have at least two units of laser system installed in the
major hospitals of Nepal.
5.3 The supplier should fill the technical tender form and clearly
mention the manufacturer, model no, and country of origin/
manufactured.
5.4 The bidder must submit a valid authorization from the
manufacturer.
5.5 Should have 2 year comprehensive warranty & 3 year of free
service warranty after completion of comprehensive warranty.
5.6 The principal company should be responsible of fulfilling
warranty/guarantee, in case local authorized agent is not able to
achieve the same. The commitment letter of the same should be
attached.
5.7 User’s training must be given on how to use and maintain the
equipment.
5.8 Must provide user’s training to one surgeon and maintenance
training to one biomedical engineer at country of origin of the
equipment.
5.9 The machine supplied should be brand new with the date of
manufacture mentioned.
5.10 One (Hard and soft) copy of service & Operating manual in
English should be supplied along with machine
5.11 Certification of the manufacturer guaranteeing the availability of
spare parts for the next 10 years from the date of installation.
5.12 The equipment should have valid European CE, ISO 13485 and
USFDA certified. All above certificates should be compulsorily
attached along with the bid for verification.
