The following COP & SOP shall be applicable to you for the assigned jobs
For Dressing in this mine. You shall be responsible for compliance of this.
While on duty you shall remain responsible for the following Safety
Procedures, Do's & Don'ts in your job:
DO’s (I). General Guidelines (at the time of Pre-start of One’s Duty)
You shall follow this Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for during operation

of Haulage machine as assigned to you.
You shall strictly adhere to the provisions of the Act, and Rules and Regulations and
2 to any Order or Direction issued by the Mine Manager or any Designated Mine
Official with a view to safety or convenience of other persons.
You shall take care for your own safety and health and that of other persons, who
may be affected by your acts, lapses, mistakes and omissions, at work including

proper care and use of protective clothing, facilities and equipment placed at your
disposal.
You shall undertake Self-Assessment & ensure for proper “Pre-duty Rest, Personal

Sleep hygiene, timely taking of the prescribed medicine(s), if any etc.
You shall do Self-assessment to ensure that you are in a state of “No stress”
5
(Physical & Mental) while performing your duty.
You shall be self-committed to all the safety instructions, assess Personal Risk
6
through Take-5 and always stay alert during the duty hours.
You shall wear & use PPE as required and follow any pandemic/health emergency
7
related precautions /protocol/guidelines issued.
You shall wear right type of Specs prescribed for proper vision (in case you are
8
having poor vision of eyes)
You shall mark your attendance (physically at the specified place (attendance room)
9
or by biometric means-if provided) before start of your duty.
You shall give notice in case of sickness or lawful absence to your superior official
10
or the manager, as the case may be, so that a substitute can be arranged timely.
You shall pay attention and understand the Safety Talks & Safety guidelines
11
properly. If there is any confusion, You shall cleared on the spot itself.
You shall carefully & sincerely obtain the right and clear instructions from the
12 Supervisors for the day’s assignments. You shall ask questions to get clarified
thoroughly about any doubt in respect of your assigned job.
You shall report forthwith to an official any situation, which you believe may pose a
13 risk to your safety or health or that of other persons, and which you cannot deal by
yourself properly.
You shall provide a caution sign whenever you leave your job/work place without
14 fully completing it and You shall report this to your supervisor/officials.
You shall Always follow the queue formed for Entering into the cage. You shall
15 never rush and always enter the cage one by one.
DO’s (II). Attention to be given by YOU while Dressing at Beginning of the Shift.
1. You must be Designated/Authorized to act or work as dresser.
2. You Must Check every place inside district including traveling/hauling road must
be checked thoroughly.
3. You must do followed dressing route from out-bye to in-bye of face.
4. You must ensure that temporary supports should be installed, if necessary, in
faces with poor roof condition or unsupported faces.
5. You must ensure that all working faces of the district must be properly dressed
before beginning of any other operation.
DO’s(III) Attention to be given by YOU while checking the dressing rod.
1. You must check that the length of Crowbar/ Bunton must be at least 7 feet or be
long enough to dress the roof from a safer place and, such that dresser doesn’t
come in dressing affected area.
2. You must see that the deflector ring must be properly welded in the Crowbar/
Bunton.
3. You must check that the tip of Crowbar/Bunton must be sharp.

DO`s (IV) Attention to be given by YOU while Dressing in working faces.
1. You must wait after blasting for sufficient time to clear the face from blasting
fumes and to settle the roof and sides.

DO’s (V). Attention to be given by YOU While Return of Explosives and Detonators.
1. You must always accept the returned Explosives and Detonators from authorized
persons.
2. You must maintain record of Returned Explosives and Detonators.
3. You must deal with Returned Explosives and Detonators with proper handling
and care.
DON’Ts (I) Jobs never to be done by YOU while Control of Magazine..
1. You shall not act as magazine in-charge unless your are properly
designated/Authorized for it.
Jobs never to be done by YOU while maintaining Record of Explosives and
DON,Ts (II)
Detonators.
1. 1. You shall not let the record be lost due to external factors like weathering,
termites, mice etc.
2. 2. You shall not record the logs in open paged book.
