Standard Operating Procedure for Employees on Cleaning Their Surroundings

To maintain a clean and organized workspace, contributing to a hygienic and productive office

All employees are responsible for cleaning and maintaining their own workstations and immediate
surroundings.

Frequency:

Regularly throughout the workday, with a focus on cleanliness before leaving for the day.

Procedure:

Daily Cleaning Tasks:

Desk and Workstation:

Clear desk of unnecessary items and clutter.

Wipe down desk surface, keyboard, mouse, and phone with disinfectant wipes.

Organize papers and files in designated trays or folders.

Personal Belongings:

Keep personal items organized and stored neatly.

Avoid leaving food containers, cups, or utensils at the desk overnight.

Trash Disposal:

Dispose of waste and recyclables in designated bins.


Ensure trash is properly bagged and tied before placing in bins.

Weekly Cleaning Tasks:

Deep Cleaning:

Dust and clean surfaces not cleaned daily (e.g., shelves, drawers).

Vacuum or sweep under desk and in corners.

Wipe down office chair and other furniture with appropriate cleaner.

Electronics:

Clean computer screens and monitors.
