AN EXECUTIVE ORDER CREATING THE BARANGAY PEACEKEEPING ACTION TEAMS

(BPATs)

WHEREAS, it is very essential for a place or barangay to compose or create teams such as
Barangay Action Teams which enables to sustain and maintain peace and order;

WHEREAS, the progress and development of a barangay really defend on how peaceful a place
or barangay in order to secure properties, business establishment and other resources of the inhabitants
living herein;

WHEREAS, it is then the duties and responsibilities of the barangay officials together with
BPAT to have a plan of action as preparation in encountering unscrupulous person committing criminal
acts which may lead to arrest of the offender by constituents;

NOW THEREFORE, I Ma. Louella C. Ricardo, Punong Barangay of Barangay Jurisdiccion,

Amulung, Cagayan, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law do hereby create the Barangay
Peacekeeping Action Teams of Jurisdiccion, Amulung, Cagayan as follows;

Section 1. Composition and Operation. The Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams is hereby
organized to constituted as follows:

Section 2. Duties and Responsibilities. The Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams shall Perform
the following duties and functions;
1. To conduct regular meeting at least once a month.
2. To monitor and safeguard the safety of each individuals and barangay constituent.
3. To mobilize and conduct regular patrolling in the community.
4. To submit monthly report of peace and order situation of the barangay.
5. To gather information and safe keep files of persons committing crimes and untoward
barangay.
6. To coordinate with proper authority Like Philippine National Police for any action deemed
appropriate.
7. To participate and attend capacity development in enhancing knowledge and skills in the
exercise of duties.
8. And such other function necessary to maintain peace and Order of the Barangay.

Section 3. Effectivity. This Order Shall take effect immediately.
