Application of Cross-Cultural Learning:

From "Thinking and Working Across Cultures", I have learned the importance of cultural sensitivity

and understanding. This has been really helpful in my daily life, especially since I live in a city with

people from many different cultures. I’ve started to notice and respect the cultural differences

around me.

At Papa John’s, our team is like a big, worldwide family. We all come from different places and have

our own ways of doing things. This has been really helpful for me because I’ve learned a lot from my

teammates. We work well together and get a lot done. Also, because I understand their cultures

better, I can quickly clear up any confusion. I’ve been using what I learned from the “Thinking and

Working Across Cultures”. This has made my personal relationships better and improved how our

team at Papa John’s works together. We make sure everyone feels respected and heard, which has

helped us succeed as a team.

Application of Lessons from Turtle Island:

The “Turtle Island” course taught me about the history and traditions of Indigenous peoples. This has

made me respect their culture and what they’ve done for society more. Now, I think about and

appreciate the Indigenous lands that I live and work on every day.

At work, I’ve used what I learned to push for practices that include everyone. we’ve proposed ideas

to honour and celebrate Indigenous cultures and histories. This has not only made our team more

aware of different cultures, but also made our workplace more welcoming and respectful.
