  ‘A’ ‘An’ and ‘The’ are called articles in English.

 ‘A’ and ‘An’ are called indefinite articles, because they don’t show any particular
person or thing.

 ‘The’ is called definite article because it always shows a particular person or thing.

 Eg: A boy can do everything for a girl.

 The boy who acted in the movies like Dhee, Ready, Dookudu etc, is Bharath

 • The articles ‘A’ and ‘An’ are generally used before Singular, Countable,
Common nouns

 • The article ‘The’ is used before Singular, Plural, Countable and uncountable
nouns.

Difference Between The Use Of The

Articles A and An
 The use of A or An depends on the sound of word before

which the article is used.

 An is used before the words begin with a vowel sound.

 A is used before the words begin with a consonant sound.
