Hi there!

Is your mind now ‘a hubble of bubbles’ with the vacations having set in? Well then, you
need to feed it with loads of exciting, meaningful activities that would be truly engaging
and fun.

Here, we suggest a few activities that could lift your spirit; add a great deal to your
knowledge of the world around you and also help you express your excitement through
sound language.

PICK ANY 3 activities and give them your best!

1. ‘Recreating the Magic’ – Illustrative narration of a famous story.

Draw a picture based on the instructions given below, and with the elements that you have
drawn guess the original story and its characters. Narrate the story in your own words.

i. Draw an equilateral triangle and pass a vertical line from the center of its base to its apex.
Draw a circle within the triangle, such that it touches the center of all three sides of the
triangle.

ii. Draw a big tarantula and a few smaller ones marching out of a burrow.

iii.Complete your illustration with ‘The Twisting, Turning Tree’.

2. ‘Dear Me!’ - Diary days

Are you happy, sad, angry, irate or maybe in no mood for anything at all? Who else could be
your best listener than your diary? Make one for yourself and write all that you wish to share
with your friends later when you get back to school.
3. ‘Thus wrote the author’– A Book review: From the websites suggested below, pick
any two, read e-books from them and review the stories that you had read.

i. News Reporting – A sneak peek into the neighbourhood…

Collect worthy news from your neighbourhood and present it in an audio visual form. Present
its literature (the report in written form) on the day of reopening of the school.

1) Collect the following articles— a pen, a book, a needle and a piece of wooden stick. Sketch

● What happens if they are hammered, pulled or dropped?
● Are these capable of diffusing into each other?
● Try compressing them by applying force. Are you able to compress them?
