I. Introduction
Traditional power banks solely rely on grid electricity that comes from
outlets for recharging, which contributes to carbon emissions that contribute to
environmental degradation. Aside from its environmental impact, cost of
electricity slowly increases which affects the financial stability of some
individuals. Also, in remote areas, during an emergency, or simply in our
classroom setting, access to electrical outlets may be challenging or
unavailable (KDM India, 2024). The proposed Sun Bank aims to confront these
issues by harnessing renewable solar energy, providing sustainable and
reliable power source for digital devices.

construction of the proposed project.
V. Environmental Impact
Our project requires materials that are ordered online which poses
technical challenges. Specifications shown online might not meet the actual
product ordered which might cause a difference in the proposed specifications.
One problem that might arise is the time of charging, since there is no
assurance that the output of the solar panel ordered online meet the
specifications we expect, delay in charging of batteries is directly affected.
Another issue that might occur is the overcharging of the power bank, even
though our proposed project includes a switch that stops the collection of solar
power and an indicator showing the capacity of the power bank, there is still
room for human error which is typically forgetting to turn off the switch. Lastly,
since the project relies on the collection of energy from the sun, availability and
weather conditions might provide inadequate supply of energy for the power
bank.
