Thanks Matteo!
We had dinner on December 31st at Piccolo Arancio as I
contacted Matteo prior to that date through email and he
very kindly arranged a table for 4 people before beginning
their New Year's Eve celebration.The food was excellent,
Matteo and all the other waiters... More

Great “Local” Restaurant
You can always judge a restaurant as at the least good if
any locals are eating there! This little eatery was graced
with a mix of locals and tourist like myself! First, the service
is impeccable. My waiter Matteo sat me down and
presented me with a complimentary glass of Prosecco. I
then dined on a meal of Carciofi Alla Giudea (fried
artichoke “Jewish” style), Cacio e Pepe (Cheese and Pepper
Pasta) and Tiramisu...all expertly prepared and delicious! A
nice glass of red wine chosen by Matteo enhanced my
meal. As an extra, I was gifted a lemoncello with 2 little
almond biscottis (perfect for dunking). I have discovered a
new favorite in Rome and will definitely return on future
visits!

Love it!
I came here twice during my visit to Rome and I really loved
it!

The first night I came a bit after opening and had no issue
getting a table but it filled up very quickly and quite a few
people were turned away due to no reservation. It was
packed and very busy but the sta! still managed to be
attentive.

The first night I had the ravioli arancio .. honestly it was SO

GOOD! One of the best and most interesting dishes I had
and l loved it and would have licked the plate if I could
have!! I also started with the Roman artichoke which was
fine and ended with the tiramisu which was good.

The second visit I made a reservation online because of

how busy it was the first time. It was just as busy this time
and I had to wait a bit for my table, but it wasn’t a big deal
to me. This time, I asked the sever for a re commendation
and he recommended the pasta with lobster so I obliged.
Again, it was super busy and there was not a table to be
had but the service was still good! The pasta was really
good.. not as wow as the ravioli arancio but still really good.
I ended with the tiramisu again.

It’s really busy, mostly with out of towners it seems and a few
locals. The restaurant is small and it’s tight seating but so is
the rest of Rome!

Overall great food and sta!! Also, Matteo was perfect and
did a great job of being attentive even when it was crazy
busy.

Awesome
While the English speaking waiters and the babble of non
Italian languages may lead you to think that they pander to
the tourist market, this is first class quality and passion for
traditional roman food. The artichokes were perfection, as
were the trippa, veal o!als and prawns! Perfect al dente
pasta too..

Lastly, special mention to Matteo.. he’s the one with the

aspirant Poirot moustache! Great recommendations for
food and wine

Highly recommend.
We visit piccolo Arancio on our trip in Rome. I have to say
from the door they are so welcoming. They o!ered us a
glass of Prosecco while we were waiting to be seated. The
food , the sta! and the atmosphere are amazing, true
Italian culture. We ve been served by Matteo whom made us
feel really pleased. Thank you!!! We will be back.

Fantastic start to finish!
Very small place close to Trevi fountain. Try to make
reservations bc it is very tiny! We had Mateo who was
wonderful. Ordered the tru!le pasta special (perfect),
spaghetti with clams (so tasty) and the swordfish (yummy).
They start you o! with a proseco in the House - and end the
meal with a bit of biscotti. Delicious start to finish!

Delicious Food. Friendly Sta!
A local recommended this restaurant to us. When we
arrived without a reservation, the restaurant was full. The
sta! told us they could seat us in a dining room across the
street. We agreed. We encouraged our children to be
adventurous when ordering. Our son ordered a dish he did
not like. Matteo and Corrado were so kind. They brought
him lasagna and took away the other. We were only
charged for the lasagna. It is that kindness and personal
touch that sets this restaurant apart.

Superb little restaurant near Fontana Di

Trevi
We went for dinner to Piccolo Arancio two nights in a row.
Despite its touristy location (right o! Trevi Fountain), the
food is excellent. It is a popular restaurant so the wait is
considerable. We reserved tables in advance and were
seated immediately. Our server Matteo was warm and very
a!ectionate to the children. The other sta! were also polite
and friendly.

Our daughter has several food allergies and she had a wide
variety of food to choose from.

Do try this restaurant if you are in Rome. I highly recommend

it.

Absolutely Fabulous!
The service and the food are excellent! We arrived without a
reservation and they cleared a table for us and sat us
quickly. Matteo our waiter was amazing. Asked for a wine
recommendation to go with our diner and his selection was
excellent. The food was all homemade and absolutely
delicious. We had the octopus salad for appetizer and
would highly recommend. The egg pasta with tru!les melt in
your mouth. And it’s a 4 minutes walk from the Trevi fountain.
Very reasonable prices for the quality of the food.

Excellent food & Service
Found this hidden up a side street near the Trevi Fountain.
Ate here 2 nights in a row. Excellent service from Matteo
who looked after us superbly (even when our boys walked in
wearing their England rugby shirts after the 6 Nations
game!)
Food was excellent - mussels come highly recommend by
our 6 & 10 year old!). I’m led to believe that the tiramisu was
excellent although it was demolished before I got any!
Small restaurant so go early or book in advance.
