What makes you different from other fl students?

On my case, what makes me different from other students is how passionate I am when it comes
to learning foreign languages; I spend my free time watching videos in other languages and
learning new ones by my own. That’s the main reason why I entered the Foreign Languages
Program: I love it. Personally, learning new languages makes me get to know another world,
another culture, and other traditions. Thus, every time I start learning a new language I am
motivated enough because of the challenge learning a new language represents. What stimulates
me the most is seeing myself progress in all the competences and being able to face harder
challenges than others thanks to my progression. In fact, the harder the language is, the more
motivated I am to start speaking it because I’ll have to make more efforts to learn it. That’s why I
seem hyperactive during the classes, because I love everything that has to do with learning and
improving my language skills and learn more about the career. For this reason, I love dynamic
teachers that make the class fun, and I love every subject of the career, no matter how difficult it
is. On the other hand, my main ambitions in life are: travelling around the world, being a
translator, being a polyglot and a teacher. All of them will make me extremely happy because that
would allow me to interact with different people around the world and get to know different
cultures while helping them.

What are you ambitions in life and how FL degree will help you to achieve them?

The FL degree will absolutely help me to achieve that because it allows me to start the way to
achieving my goals and dreams while doing something I like and to get a sense of what I am
getting into by studying foreign languages. While during the whole career the students learn two
languages, thanks to the teaching and the subjects that involve language learning, I have a better
sense on how learning a language due to the theories and approaches that we learn along the
career. That’s why this degree can help me to become a polyglot. On the other hand, since
becoming teachers is the main goal of this degree, I would love to help others learning and loving
languages as much as I do.
