Topic: What are the primary causes of water pollution in Ho Chi Minh city?

Waters contained 71% of Earth’s surface, while 29% is consists of continents and
islands. It shows that water has a huge impact to human. Despite of being one of the
most important resources in the Earth, water pollution has been enormous problem all
over the world. There are some main causes that leads to water pollution.

Companies has been discharged waste water which contained harmful substance.
If you watch the news very often, you could see news about company let chemicals
spill all over the environment. According to a research, wastewater management and
treatment cause a gigantic exclusive because of complicated systems. As a result,
rivers have been polluted in Ho Chi Minh city.

Lack of knowledge is also a trouble. Even though Ho Chi Minh is a development

city, there are still many poor families that children or even adults couldn’t afford for
education. Besides, government didn’t propagate their people good enough to
understand about water pollution and its effect on human life.

Another reason is the population explosion. In 2020, Ho Chi Minh city has about
8,9 million people but in 2025, there may be over 10,29 million. They may remove too
much water from surface waters and groundwater due to the needs of the basic life.
One more thing about it is there are people who could do anything for profit despite of
the effect that could affected them in the future.

To sum up, water pollution has a variety of negative consequences. If not

properly taken care of, these problems could cause harmful long-term effects to our
life in the future.
