The Head says you’re to go the other way.” Cameraman Skeptical Did not believe Ian’s lie right away and questioned it. “Looked like a disused quarry?” Mandy Helpful Polishes the side of the swimming pool while Ingrid lies to the teachers so that they’ll fall. “...I make sure that the pool is nice and slippy.” Ingrid Witty Thinks of a good lie to convince the teachers to go the wrong way. “Please, Miss, the Head says you’ve all got to go to the swimming pool right away.” Teacher Naive Believes what Ingrid says right away. “Come on, everybody. Down to the swimming pool, double quick time. Head says so.”

Whatever you say.” Ian Submissive Tells his friends to follow the Head’s orders without putting up a fight. “We’d better do what he says, or they’ll make us do it anyway.” Head Cruel Forces Dinah to comply by threatening to kill them all. “Children, these are six straw dolls, no longer required... Sarah Hypnotized Being forced to do something against her will. [Lifeless] “I can’t eat that, Eddy.” Alec Witty Answers the questions with speed and ease. “Thirty.” Dinah Protective Has to answer correctly against her will because her friends are in danger. [Helplessly] “Six” Lloyd Witty Figures out the Head’s intentions. “That’s it Dinah! He wants to run the country!” Lucy Inconvenient Remembered the correct answer at a very bad time. “I know! That was the name of the man in that funny book you told me about, Dinah. 1984” Harvey Witty Quickly thought of what to do when the Head was about to hypnotize everyone. “Dinah! The pepper!” Mandy Optimistic Happy that their plan worked. “We did it!”
