The MidoNet L2, L3, and VLAN Gateway for VMware vCenter solution
provides a network virtualization solution and gateway capability for
vSphere environments. The solution includes MidoNet software and
support subscription and remote Midokura implementation services.

Operations & Troubleshooting
Scope of Work
● Deploy OpenStack - Install all OpenStack components on an
OpenStack all-in-one server.
● Configure Gateway Servers
- Setup network state database cluster
- Create GRE or VXLAN tunnel zone and add locally running
Midolman to that tunnel zone
● Configure OpenStack networking
- Install MidoNet Agents, configure access to the network state
database.
- Integrate MidoNet with OpenStack and configure DHCP and
Metadata neutron services.
● Connect VLANs in vSphere to OpenStack MidoNet Networks
▪ Setup and configure L2 gateway in HA mode, to bridge already
configured VLANs into a Layer 2 MidoNet or Neutron network.
● Validation of Environment
▪ Run tests to validate proper configurations and functions.
Requirements
● MidoNet v1.5.1 or higher for each compute node
● Existing vSphere environment and configured vSphere servers,
vCenter optional
● Minimum of 8 servers for OpenStack environment
