Dear Samuel,

I hope this letter finds you in great spirits as you prepare for your exciting journey into
Thomson House and your new St. John's College experience. I, Sebastian Prozzi, am thrilled
to have the opportunity to welcome you to Thomson House and serve as your mentor in the
near future.
In 2020, I stood in your shoes, filled with curiosity and perhaps some jitters; however, there
is nothing to worry about, and that's where I come in. If you need help, whether it's
academics, sports, sociability, or anything else, I am here for you.
From my experience at St. John's thus far, you have many positive things to look forward to.
From the derby days and inter-house events to the pride you'll feel as a St. John's College
student, this is where you'll make lasting memories.
What I remember most about my mentor when I was in Remove was that he always told me
how fast college life goes by. Please trust me when I say he was not wrong, and you need to
cherish your days as a Johannian and as a Thomson boy because it goes by much faster than
you think.
I believe you are a rugby and basketball player, which are popular sports choices at the
College. I am a hockey player, and the experience I've had with sports at St. John's is
astounding. The sense of brotherhood that is built is something not to take for granted, and I
trust that you will have a similar experience and will pursue your sports throughout your
college career.
Please feel free to contact me at sebastianluisprozzi@icloud.com or 060 744 2432. I look
forward to meeting you and your parents at our mentee/mentor meeting.
Sincerely, Sebastian Prozzi
