 INTRODUCTION

The activity to be carried out aims to understand and put into practice the function and
structure of the present perfect continuous tense, using some of the vocabulary learned so
far in the course. This activity uses the present perfect continuous tense to talk about the
things I have been doing in the past year.
 DEVELOPMENT OF THE ACTIVITY

Sentences in present perfect continuous.

1. I have been studying for my final exams.

2. I must present a report to my boss, and I have been working on it.

3. I have been working for 3 years in a multinational company and I am very

established.

4. I have been studying English since November of last year.

5. I have been exercising and eating healthy to get in shape and lose weight.

6. I have been organizing my time to meet my work and university obligations.

7. I want to go on vacation to San Andres and I have been saving up.

8. My husband bought a motorcycle and every afternoon I have gone to practice.

9. Two months ago, I have been working in my garden planting new plants.

10. Lately, I have been very stressed, that's why I have been attending yoga classes.

11. I have been learning how to decorate nails every afternoon.

12. I lost my wallet the past Sunday and I have been searching for it in my house.

13. I bought a case for my cellphone online and I have been waiting for the shipment.

14. I have been looking for a larger house to move to.

15. I have an exam in two weeks, and I have been preparing for a week.
