TV/Movies / Re: BBNaija: Seyi Awolowo As A

Kid With His Grandma And Siblings
(Throwback Photo) by DIKEnaWAR: 2:58am On
Oct 02, 2019

IamPatriotic:
Ordinary magician son (Shina peller) is in the
National Assembly, Tafawa Balewa has held
reputable position in the country, but t this
idiot is doing nonsense and some people the
grandparents game and acceptability
especially in the South West should Rob o"
him.
Is he contesting to be the Governor of Ogun or
Lagos State we should support him?

Sttop being ignorant and shamelessly

advertising it. Big brother is a good thing and it
helps to provide a platform to groom youths
interested in entertainment, unlock and unleash
them. I used to be like you till I started watching
the programme lately.

You people say it promotes immoral behaviour

and nudity? Well, anyone that goes to big
brother and decide to (of all opportunities
available) be immoral and nude, that's his or her
cup of tea. Talented young people like Frodd,
Seyi, Khafi etc have used this to launch
themselves. The entertainment world is waiting
to snap them up immediately.

The exchange continues below

IamPatriotic:

Ordinarily, I shouldn't be replying you, but I'll,

because of the questions I have for you. First
of all, let me assume you're not foolish (at
least until you do justice to the questions). I'll
restrict the questions to your points. You said
the show unleashes talented youths tithe
entertainment world, the show has been on
for two to three years now, please how many
of previous participants is now a big name in
the the Nigerian entertainment industry?
Question 2: what talent has the people
mentioned demonstrated that they needed
the BBN platform to harness? My next
question: Would you sincerely say that the
show was the best place for someone like
Awolowo's grandchild to show the stu" he's
made of to the world?

Meanwhile, there still more questions and

explanations for you, but it all depends on
your responses to the questions I have asked
you. Shalom.

This post is laden with ignorance, self doubt and

low self esteem. I would have ignored but you
seem to persist in ignorance and the wrong
direction.

1. Ebuka Obi Uchendu is a Lawyer. Very

unknown in the legal circle, but a giant in the
entertainment industry. He is a product of big
brother. They gave him the platform to show
that he is not all about law. Infact, that law is
not his thing. Maybe without big brother he'd be
torn between practising law and pursuing his
dream in entertainment.

Miracle, I am certain, paid for his pilot licence

from part of the proceeds of the Big brother.

There are lots of other people in entertainment,

like Katung, Cee Cee, Tobi, Efe etc etc. Truth is
that you are one of these people that are too
rigid and strict to learn new things and that's
why you don't know about big brother and the
entertainment industry.

2. In big brother's house, they are given tasks to

sing, act, sew, style, market products etc etc.
They learn in the process. The fact that they are
confined within that short space with strict rules
of obedience instils discipline in the
undisciplined. You can see how Tacha, despite
cruising to winning this year's show could not
discipline herself and bit the dust. I am sure
she'd be asking herself questions and trying to
reform her attitude to be human and not an
animal.

I said you have low self esteem because you

think Awolowo is God and his descendants
should walk in the sky, while lesser mortals like
you worship them. I mean has Seyi proven to be
better than anyone by his own capacity? That's
the question you should be asking and not tying
him to his grandfather. Seyi has the right to also
live his life, di"erent from his grandparents or
parents. It doesn't matter if they were all
politicians or Rabis, he has the right to be an
actor or singer if he so wishes. He can't live his
life in the shadow of his grandpa (at this
juncture, I shall advise you that you don't owe
anyone an explanation on the choices you make
in life, except where you run foul of the law and
the consequences shall surely catch up with you.
Also, don't forget that actions have
repercussions) We all cannot be Professors.
Some will have sew the professor's clothes,
repair his car, build his house, write and sell his
books to him...

On a final note, Awolowo was just an old school

Tinubu but so many of you won't read and learn
from history. You'd rather learn about your
country from fireside stories that your grandma
told you
