HOT ISSUE ABOUT EDUCATION

1. English and character education are the main subjects in elementary school. Learning English
at the junior high and high school levels was abolished because it should have been
completed in elementary school.

My response :

I think it is not enough that English only reaches elementary school. Class 6 is 12 years
old, now 12 years old not enough to arrive at thinking that is oriented to understanding only
to the basic thought is not enough. After all elementary school children are small children
who are just learning school. The method of learning should be while playing, if forced to
complete English in elementary school the formation of the character fails, because coercion
is not a natural learning process.

2. The number of subjects in junior high schools is a maximum of 5 subjects with the main base
of learning in coding and in high schools being a maximum of 6 subjects without further
direction those who want to focus on certain skills are invited to choose a vocational school.

My response :

I think in high school there should still be majoring in IPA and IPS because in high
school is preparation for entering into a university. With majors they can find out what they are
suitable for in a major later if they continue on to college.
