Subject:- Revised School Timing Due to Extreme Heat Wave Conditions in Purulia District.

In light of the ongoing extreme heat wave situation in Purulia District, it has become
imperative to adjust the school timing for Primary Schools and Junior Basic Schools under the
jurisdiction of DPSC Purulia. Effective from June 13, 2024, to June 14, 2024, the school hours will
be from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM. This adjustment aims to ensure the well-being of our students while
minimizing the disruption to academic activities, including the Mid-Day Meal Programme.
Furthermore, to optimize the shortened school hours, teachers are encouraged to assign
project-based homework to students. These projects should be manageable for students to
complete at home and will help maintain continuity in their learning process despite the temporary
schedule change.
This decision is made in alignment with the advisory issued by the Secretary of WBBPE, as
per Memo No. 773(22)/WBBPE/2024 dated June 12, 2024.
Your cooperation and understanding during this period are greatly appreciated. Let us all
work together to ensure the safety and welfare of our students while upholding the quality of
education.
