Fluency & Coherence

- Can he/she speak at length?


- Are there a lot of pauses? (uh, uhm, ...)
- Is there any filler language? (you know, like, just, so, ...)
- Are the sentences fully formed / complete? Can you understand the whole
sentences that your partner say?
- Are there any linking words?
- Are the linking words used with their correct functions? (Add more info:
"Moreover"; Show contrast: "However")
- Are the ideas well connected and relevant to the topic?

Lexical Resource

- Are there topic-related vocabulary used to express ideas?


- Are collocations / idioms used?
- Are the topics / questions paraphrased effectively?
- Are there academic / advanced vocabulary?

Grammatical Range & Accuracy

- Are simple sentences error-free?


- Are compound, complex sentences used?
- Are other structures used? (relative clause, conditional sentences, comparatives,
superlatives,...)
- Are the tenses used correctly? (Past simple tense used to talk about past events)
- Can you understand most of the sentences?

Pronunciation

- Is it easy to understand?
- Are there a lot of errors? (sounds/ stress/ ending sounds/ linking sounds)
- Do the errors affect your understanding?
