I. Title of the Project

Online platform for a nursery garden vendor

II. Statement of the Problem

Our client encounters several challenges in establishing a thriving platform for selling plants,
planters, and coco peat. To begin with, the diverse needs of customers, ranging from gardening
goals to expertise levels, necessitate a broad product range to effectively cater to their
preferences. Providing comprehensive information about plants, including care instructions
and compatibility with planters, is essential to ensure customer satisfaction. Moreover,
managing inventory and offering timely guidance on seasonal products and planting
recommendations present ongoing challenges. Additionally, navigating shipping logistics for
live plants and bulky gardening supplies demands efficient handling to guarantee prompt
delivery and minimize damage. Responsive customer support channels are crucial to address
inquiries and provide assistance throughout the purchasing process. Finally, effective
marketing strategies, particularly through online channels are imperative to attract new
customers and increase brand awareness. By addressing these challenges, Our project can
establish a robust platform that offers high-quality products and expert guidance to support
customers in their gardening endeavors.

III. Why this particular topic chosen?

I accepted this topic from my internship company, as it offers a great opportunity to learn the
full software development cycle from requirements to deployment, which will help me become
a full stack developer.

IV. Objective and Scope

• The aim of the online garden website is to provide users with a comprehensive platform
that simplifies garden planning and facilitates the purchase of plants, planters, and coco
peat. This involves understanding users' needs, designing the website, developing it,
testing its functionality, and ensuring ease of use.
• Empower gardening enthusiasts with the tools and resources necessary to plan, create,
and maintain their dream gardens through a curated selection of plants and gardening
supplies.
• Designing an intuitive website interface that allows users to input their gardening goals,
explore plant options, select suitable planters and coco peat, and receive personalized
gardening recommendations.
• Developing the online garden website with features such as goal setting for garden
projects, interactive plant catalogs with care instructions, compatibility guides for
planters and growing mediums, and tools for tracking garden progress.
• Conducting rigorous testing of the website to ensure functionality, accuracy of plant
information, security of transactions, and a seamless user experience across different
devices and browsers.
• Deploying the online garden website to gardening enthusiasts, landscapers, and
gardening professionals, ensuring seamless integration with existing gardening
platforms and accessibility across various devices.

V. Methodology
Our Goal planning is a strategic approach that helps customers achieve their desired outcomes
by aligning their plant purchases with specific objectives, such as beautifying their homes,
creating vibrant landscapes, or fostering a green environment. It provides customers with a
structured pathway to navigate their gardening journey efficiently.
customer profiles are customized based on individual goals, preferences, and gardening
aspirations. For instance:
- Customers looking to enhance their home aesthetics may prioritize plant varieties that
complement their interior or exterior decor.
- Those aiming to create lush gardens or picturesque landscapes may prefer a mix of
flowering plants, shrubs, and ornamental trees to achieve their desired ambiance.
- Gardening enthusiasts seeking to cultivate their own herbs or vegetables may opt for
organic seeds or starter plants to kickstart their kitchen garden journey.
Moreover, Our software continually monitors plant performance, customer preferences, and
gardening trends to ensure that the offerings remain relevant and effective for customers'
evolving needs and environmental conditions. This personalized approach not only enhances
customer satisfaction but also fosters a deeper connection between customers and their
gardening goals.

VI. Process Description

The software system will consist of several modules:
1. User module /Frontend Development: Handles user registration, profile management and
customization of branding materials. Implements the user interface components using
JavaScript, ensuring an intuitive and seamless user experience.
2.Backend Development: Utilizes Node js/express js to develop the server-side logic, database
management.
3.Admin module: Provide administrative functionalities such as templates management and
user oversight.
VII. Resources and Limitations

Languages used:

- Front-end: HTML, CSS, JavaScript,

- Back-end: Node.js, Express.js MySQL.

Hardware Interface:

- RAM: 4GB and above

- Hard Disk Utilization: 500MB and above

IDE:

-Visual Studio
-Depository: Git hub & Inside premises server
Limitations:

- Subjectivity in Garden Planning: The effectiveness of garden planning is influenced

by the subjective nature of garden goals set by customers. However, garden preferences
can vary greatly and may evolve over time, posing challenges in accurately capturing
customers' changing objectives.
- Assumption of Stable Plant Preferences: Many garden planning tools categorize
customers based on their initial plant preferences. However, customers' plant
preferences may fluctuate due to changing tastes or environmental factors, leading to
potential misalignment between recommended plants and customers' evolving
preferences.
- Environmental Factors and Uncertainty: Garden planning tools typically rely on
historical plant performance data and predictive models to recommend suitable plant
selections. However, environmental factors such as soil conditions, climate variations,
and pest outbreaks can impact the success of recommended plants, leading to
unexpected deviations from planned garden outcomes.
- Market Volatility and Supply Chain Challenges: Our client may face challenges in
sourcing plants, planters, and coco peat due to market volatility and supply chain
disruptions. Fluctuations in plant availability, quality, and pricing can affect the
feasibility and cost-effectiveness of garden projects, potentially impacting customer
satisfaction and project timelines.
VI. Testing Technologies used
Modules in this project will be tested using:

-Unit Testing

-Manual Testing

-Integration Testing

After developing each module, unit testing along with the various test cases will be
performed. Every module is integrated with every other module to define the various
module interdependent test cases. Various random test cases will be prepared as prior
depending upon the client requirement and hence by creating the testing environment
for the various test cases.

VII. Conclusion
This model approach with our clients aids individuals in organizing their gardening
plans. By setting clear goals, understanding their gardening preferences, and selecting
the right plants, planters, and coco peat, customers can feel more confident in their
gardening endeavors, regardless of fluctuations in environmental conditions. As the
gardening world evolves, adhering to this approach keeps customers focused on their
gardening aspirations, making their dream gardens a reality and ensuring lush, thriving
outdoor spaces. By setting goals, managing plant preferences, and selecting the right
gardening supplies, individuals can navigate gardening with the aim of achieving long-
term garden beauty and success.
