An online course organised by NAMAH, the Journal of Integral Health

Occultism, Psychology & Illness

Dr. Soumitra Basu
Have you ever wondered what Occultism is actually about? What is its relevance and impact
on the practice of Integral Yoga, let alone everyday life? This programme will focus on Occultism,
without which our understanding of Psychology and Spirituality are incomplete and miss their fullest
efficacy. A consciousness-based approach does not dismiss it as a taboo subject, but rather explores
it in detail to discover the interaction between supra-physical and bio-psychosocial substrates. The
whole phenomenon of ‘possession’ will be viewed from a new perspective. Occult factors affect our
health and well-being but are usually overlooked. We must learn to identify occult influences and
understand the way they need to be uniquely handled.

Day 1 : Introduction to Occultism, relation with

Psychology and Spirituality.
Day 2 : Gradation of occult worlds. Understanding
Hitler, Stalin and UFOs.
Day 3 : Lower occult worlds and how they produce
illness.
Day 4 : Hostile forces in the cosmic consciousness.
Understanding the phenomenon of True
Possession.
Day 5 : Occult influences in children.
Day 6 : Higher or True Occultism; working through
occult forces.
