Overall, it can be seen prominently that Japan had the highest health reported
3 expenditure per GDP among the Asian countries, while Thailand had
the lowest amount of health expenditure as a share of GDP in 1995 and years
2005 and South Korea in 2000. It is also important to note that the

except South Korea and Hong Kong

To begin with, in 1995, Japan spent the highest amount of money per GDP
comparisons on health at 6%, followed by Hong Kong and South Korea at around 4%.
Thailand, on the other hand, only put 2% of its GDP into health sector. A
similar trend was also found in the year 2000. Japan was still the highest 4
spender at 8%. However, South Korea was the only country that spend
less money per GDP on health, dropping from 4% in 1995 to just 2% in
2000.
