Sub: Seminar on Fire Safety at Liluah

Ref.: RDSO letter no. MCIACF/Fire Detection/AC dt. 13/6/2024

It is planned to conduct a seminar on Fire Safety in coaches at Carriage Workshop

Liluah on 26.6.2024. The following activities/issues should be covered during the seminar.
1. Visit to the FSDS/FDSS testing lab established at Liluah and presentation on the same.
2. Demonstration of the testing protocol for FSDS/FDSS issued by RDSO (vide their letter
at ref. (i) above)
3. Presentation by ED/RDSO regarding standardization of layout and various issues in Fire
Safety in coaches.
4. Demonstrations regarding downloading of data in different makes on fire system.

CWMs of Kharagpur, Harnaut, Mancheswar, NBQS, Kachrapara, Jhansi, RCNK/Sonepat

and CRWS Bhopal along with Senior CDOs of Eastern, South Eastern and N.F.
Railways may be deputed to attend the seminar.

Further, it is expected that all workshops should set up labs regarding testing of
FSDS/FDss in their workshops within the next three months and also ensure following the
testing protocol issued by RDSO. All depots should also immediately implement various
practices as issued by RDSO.

() PCME/ER for organizing the seminar and Deputing concerned officers to attend the
seminar.
(ii) PCMEs/SER, ECoR, NFR,ECR, NR, NCR & WCR and PED/RS/RDSO: For
deputing concerned CWMs & Sr. CDOs for the seminar.
