Type of Individual Work
task
Objective Students are able to:
of the task 1. Organize and represent information through mathematical representation using a logical
structure
2. Understanding the simplification of patterns may help to understand the natural world and
its laws.
Task Case study
description Rajkaran owns an agricultural property on the outskirts of Haryana's Sirsa city. He intended to
grow a variety of crops for winter crops. So he split his territory into some different shapes. He
planted tomatoes, mustard seeds and spinach for sale, and mixed greenery for his own and his
family's consumption.

1. Can you tell what shapes the tomatoes and mustard seeds grow in?
2. Find the area where he grew his own tomatoes, mustard seeds, and vegetables.
3. Show your work also.
4. Explain how this practice of cultivating vegetables for personal consumption benefits Mr.
Rajkaran?
5. Do you think this practice is followed by all the farmers? Give reasons in support of your
answer.
