BCP Hub –

First in the world to check moisture content.

The BCP is developed for heavy-duty applications

with the pitch setting hydraulic servo cylinder in the
hub.
The hub lubrication system is a unique oil circula-
ting system with an integrated moisture monitoring
system. This is the first hub system in the shipping
industry where the moisture content is constantly
checked, making it possible to protect the entire pro-
peller system as well as the environment.
These were given highest priority
when we developed this hub type:

The advantages of the BCP system include:

Maximum reliability.

Minimum maintenance.

Continuous propeller hub condition monitoring.

Minimum space requirement.

intended for direct drive and systems with long intermediate shaft lines.
BCP Hub improves flexibility.
To improve flexibility for ships equipped with a twin propeller solution, Berg added the feathered
features to the BCP hub. In an emergency situation or a low ship speed, one of the propellers
can be stopped and put into a feathered position. This way, the drag of the propeller is minimised.
The result is a fuel saving – and redundancy equal – environment.
