Sub: Social Welfare Department – Jnanabhumi Attendance App –
Through Facial Recognition Solution (FRS) – To be implemented in all
institutions registered in jnanabhumi from 2022-23 academic year –Active
involvement of Principal/ faculty is needed - Instructions – Issued.

Government instructed that Jnanabhumi Attendance App using Facial

Recognition Solution (FRS) be introduced in all the institutions in the state registered
in jnanabhumi portal so that the attendance of students can be streamlined and so as
to enable qualitative education for the students.

The AP Technology Services have finalised the technical agencies for

implementing the FRS and their details are given below.
1) Syntizen – For all Degree College
2) RNIT – For all ITIs/Polytechnics/Engineering/Pharmacy colleges
3) HR Square – For all Bed/Law/PG/Other Colleges

The following are the pre-requisites for implementation of Attendance App by

colleges:

1. Attending Training Sessions conducted on JnanaBhumi Attendance App by

respective Vendors- to be attended by Principal/Faculty members
2. Enrolment of Faculty in JnanaBhumi Portal (Staff Entry Form)
3. Mapping of Geo Location of the College in the Attendance App.
4. Enrollment in the portal details of Students, though not eligible for JVD
schemes.
5. Facial Enrollment of Faculty by the Principal in the App.
6. Facial Enrolment of Students by Faculty in the App.
7. Providing all the required support to vendors who will provide handholding
support for implementation of the JnanaBhumi Attendance App.

Hence, all the Principals of the institutions/ colleges are requested to cooperate
for implementation of the Attendance App as it is intended mainly to improve the
attendance of students in the classes, leading to better learning outcomes.

It is also informed that calculation of attendance for the purpose of Jagananna

Vidya Deevena will be taken from the FRS outcomes from 2022-23 academic year.
However, it has to be implemented for all students, whether they apply or not apply
for the Vidya Deevena scheme.

To all the Principals/Heads of the institutions registered in jnanabhumi portal
Copy to the DSCWEOs with a request to communicate it to all the colleges

Copy to the District Collectors with a request to monitor this process of on-boarding
of all the institutions in the FRS, as it is a priority program of the government. It can
be reviewed with the district welfare officers and Registrars of Universities and
Regional DDs of Higher Education Department.
Copy to the Chairman, APSCHE for information with a request to issue necessary
instructions to colleges under their regulatory control.
Copy to Commissioner, College Education/ Director, Employment and Training/
Director, Technical Education with a similar request.
Copy to Director, Agriculture/Horticulture/Animal Husbandry with a similar request.
Copy to Director, Medical Education with a similar request.
