EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
B.Arch(graduated in 2014) and pursuing M.arch( thesis submitted ) –both from Sir J.J. college of Architecture
B.Arch thesis : Childcare facility and play therapy centre for underprivileged of red-light areas in mumbai –
Rehabilitating children of Kamathipura focusing on their special psychological needs (behavioral design)
M.Arch thesis : Exploring the potential of historic fort precincts in Mumbai- significance assessment through lenses of
citizens, SWOT analysis and site management plans/strategies for forts of Vasai, Sewri, Worli and Sion
15 mnths full-time assistant professor at VIVA School of Architecture followed by two semesters as visiting faculty in VIVA and
L.B Hiray.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE AT BSSA: 2 YEARS
Humanities /history of Architecture/cultural studies :
Same as above + current affairs, diverse ways of living and influence of terrorism and war on architecture eg. impact of
ISIS on Syrian architecture and crime prevention through architecture using CPTED principles (crime prevention through
environmental design), fort architecture of India. Political systems –capitalism and communism and its impact on
architecture –eg china, Japan and Russia
Urban theory: The city and its issues, precinct studies.
Climatology : Sun path and climate responsive design strategies
Building materials : bricks, concrete, glass, polymers, paints, bamboo, stone, timber,etc.( took responsibility for
teaching underlined materials)
Services: same as above + water supply, drainage, rain water harvesting
Barrier-free design specialisation (handled individually) : designing spaces for sensory impaired and cognitive
disabilities –Dementia and autism.
