The Information Seeking Behavior Report

The rapid and dynamic evolving technology across the globe has been playing a significant part towards
determining how different individuals seek information. The current technology has greatly transformed
the means of accessing information through creating unparalleled approaches for information seeking
and information access. Such strategies have greatly influenced my personal behaviors for example
enhancing my understanding and knowledge on how to retrieve, interact or seek information.
Information seeking and access approaches have evolved rapidly due to improved internet usage. My
personal approach to information seeking behavior have been highly modeled by much reliance on
online search engines activities. Usage of social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube and
WhatsApp among other social media platforms have also greatly impacted my personal behaviors
towards seeking information. The nature of the modern digital world in accessing and retrieving
information is convenient and curious as compared to the pre digital era whereby the primary sources
used for seeking information were mainly encyclopedias and libraries. The availability of smartphones
and internet has made it easier to seek and access information at my fingertips and responded
positively.

The most approaches which I used to seek information is through using social media platforms and
search engines such as google. Other additional methods employed in seeking and retrieving
information are through using various applications that assist in providing updated and current affairs
concerning politics, business , entertainment , education and health matters among other areas.
