The lives of lords, ladies, and warriors during the times of the Roman
Empire

● The Roman Empire was established in 31 BC when


Augustus Caesar crowned himself the first Roman
Emperor,and it was destroyed in 1453 CE with the fall of
Constantinople.An empire is a form of government in which
an emperor or empress rules over a group of people.
● Lords and ladies belonged to the aristocracy,the highest
social class in mediaeval society,like monarchs.Most of them
were manor dwellers.While some lords had only one
manor,others owned multiple.Those who owned multiple
manors typically spent a few months in one before moving

Attacks on their castle :


● The weakest points of the castle were located by mediaeval
lords,knights,and their siege engineers,who then designed
their siege strategy accordingly.The
Ballista,Catapult,Mangonel,and Siege Towers were the siege
engines used in Mediaeval times to attack castles.
A hunting expedition :
● They used the most efficient and straightforward
techniques,such as traps and other kinds of traps to hunt
mostly hares,wild boars and birds.The narrative of Pliny the
Younger's hunt is a fantastic illustration of such a strategy.
An entertainment occasion :
● Ancient Rome had two main categories of games : ludibor
games which included theatrical plays,dances,and chariot
races and mubera or spectacles which included gladiator
battles,wild animal presentations and other strange
demonstrations.
Daily life in a castle :
● The majority of the rooms in the castle would always be
closed up while the lord and lady and their staff who could
range in number from 30 to 150 wood move from castle to
castle, with their beds,linen,crockery and chests.
