Case Study: Mufti

Mufti is a manufacturer and retailer of men’s fashion wear in jeans, T -shirts, shirts, etc. They
currently have nearly 100 Stores across India and have planned for 200 stores by the end of 2010.
They also sell their products through various shop-in-shops and through MBOs.

Challenge
Mufti was earlier using software, which was addressing only basic billing and inventory in the
organisation. However, with a plan to grow multifold, Mufti realized the requirement to implement a
centralized system that could seamlessly integrate the operations of the company across all its
function from procurement, distribution and POS. Seamless data synchronization of over 100 stores,
centralized dynamic MIS, centralized promotion management, centralized control of inventory and
finance at franchisee stores level, warehouse management, replenishment of goods to stores, purchase
order management, wholesales and consignment sales were the major challenges.

Solution provided
GSL implemented GINESYS Business along with Enterprise Reporting System at their head office
and warehouse and GINESYS POS software at all the stores. The project was implemented in record
60 days without any problems.

Benefits
The solution has been a huge success at Mufti. They are having more than 50 per cent growth in sales
in retail stores in the current year. They have now full control of inventory at all their stores and
warehouse. The data of all the stores consolidate in central server everyday in 30 minutes, and all the
business decisions take place with the help of GINESYS. Mufti now runs its entire operations on
GINESYS software.
