Pasado Perfecto en Inglés

El Pasado Perfecto en inglés es un tiempo verbal que se utiliza para expresar acciones que sucedieron
antes de otra accion en el pasado, normalmente se usa un pasado perfecto antes de un pasado
simple.

Estructura afirmativa:

Subject + had + Verb Past Participle + C

I had studied English before taking the exam

Estructura negativa:

Subject + had not + Verb Past Participle + C

I had not studied English before taking the exam

Estructura interrogativa:

Had + Subject + Verb Past Participle + C + ?

Had I studied English before taking the exam ?

Yes, I had

No, I hadn’t

Ejemplos:

1. She had studied Spanish before she moved to Madrid.

Ella había estudiado español antes de mudarse a Madrid.

2. They had already finished their homework when the power went out.
Ellos ya habían terminado su tarea cuando se fue la luz.

3. He had never seen such a beautiful sunset until that day.

Él nunca había visto un atardecer tan hermoso hasta ese día.

4. By the time I arrived, they had already left the party.

Para cuando llegué, ellos ya habían dejado la fiesta.
