ADVANCE PRECAST Pre-stressed Technology
Prestressed concrete is a method for overcoming concrete’s natural weakness in tension. It can be used
to produce beams, floors or bridges with a longer span than is practical with ordinary reinforced con-
crete.

1) What is prestressed concrete:

• Itis a method of applying pre-comression to control the stressed resulting due to external loads below
the neutral axis of the beam.
• Pre-compression resulting either no tension or compression.

2) Advantages of pre-stressed concrete:

• Factory products are possible
• Long span structure are possible so that saving of wt is significant & thus it become economical.
• Pre-stressed member are tested before use.
• It has high ability to resist the impact.
• Dead load are get counterbalanced by eccentric pre-stressing.

Almost 100% panels and 90% columns can be reused.
 Installation Procedure
At site, the columns can be erected on footing foundation or on pile foundation
depending upon the type of soil and water table. if it is lighter than traditional com-
pound wall ( approximately 1/3 in weight) the size of footing can be taken less after con-
crete gets strength, the joints between foundation and columns (generally hrs) the
panels will be fixed between two columns in grew of columns. the joints between two
panels and the gap between columns and panels will bled with rich cement mortar.
