Maintenance documentation (O&M) block 1-4 and Manufacturing Record Book (MRB)
block 5. The structure is illustrated below.

Aim of the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) documentation

Provide information about the purpose, location and operation and safety aspects of the
various components of the equipment supplied by Siemens.
Provide information for start-up, normal operation and shutdown of the gas turbine
package and maintenance of the equipment during operation and standstill.
Provide information for trouble-shooting and the corrective measures required after alarm
or trip incidents.
Provide information concerning preventive periodic inspection and maintenance.
Documentation will be delivered as produced in English. Unless otherwise stipulated in

the Scope of Supply, translation is carried out according to Directive 98/37/EC of the
European Parliament, which means that the instructions must contain the drawings and
diagrams necessary for putting into service, maintenance, inspection, checking of correct
operation and, where appropriate, repair of the machinery, and all useful instructions in
particular with regard to safety.

Document details
The electronic documentation is linked in order to facilitate navigation. The electronic
documentation includes a global search function. This function permits the user to search
through the complete documentation for words and expressions. However, a global search
may not find all occurrences of the search term, scanned documents, for example, cannot
be searched.
Translated documentation (optional) will be interwoven with the corresponding original
text.
Important to note is, in case of multiple Gas Turbines the documentation will be combined
in one set. Separate sets (optional) multiplies the amount of paper copies with the number
of Gas Turbines.
Siemens Turbomachinery AB uses IEC 61355 classifications on all produced documents
stored in the PDM system. IEC 61355 is a standard that classifies and describes the
information content in the document.

Aim of the Manufacturing Record Book (MRB)

The content of the Manufacturing Record Book is compiled in a number of books and
limited to the need of documentation that shall be used to support inspection and the
periodical survey of equipment in hazardous applications, by the user and by any local
authority in accordance with the applicable regulations. Such equipment is pressure
equipment, Ex electrical equipment and lifting equipment.
The detail technical documentation, procedures, qualifications, inspection and test reports
are retained by SIEMENS and each sub supplier of products as to meet the regulatory
requirements for the product liability in the European Union.
5 Manufacturing Record Book

The Manufacturing Record Book includes inspection plans, main
equipment test reports and certificates for the electrical and

mechanical equipment.

5A Manufacturing and Test Records
Declaration of Conformity
The document declares that the supplied products conform to the
purchase order, applicable regulations and/or applicable EC product
directives.
Certificate according to Statutory Regulations
Design, inspection and test certificates of equipment as required by
statutory safety regulations and applicable codes and standards.
Certificate of Type Test
Type approval certificates for equipment to be installed in
hazardous area and software license certificate
Performance / Run Test and Functional Test Reports
Performance and mechanical run test reports of the gas turbine,

auxiliary package equipment and the driven equipment.
Detailed Manufacturing and Test Records, as an option to the P.O.

In-process inspection reports, test reports, material lists, weld plan
and qualifications that are generated in the manufacturing process
up to the final test of the equipment, may only be compiled into the
Manufacturing Record Book if this has been agreed with the
Customer.
5B Commissioning Report
Commissioning Report
The Commissioning and settings are compiled in two books which
contain checklists, test protocols and setting lists.
