WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE REST OF THE VERBS?
We use the present simple to express habits, facts, thoughts and feelings.
It is also used with general statements and actions that are repeated. It is
formed with the base form of the verb, except the third person singular
where you have to add an "s".

1. Fill in the correct form of the verbs in brackets.

Tom often (wear) a white shirt and blue jeans.


They (be) never tired in the morning.
He (like) apples and bananas.
The children sometimes (go) to the playground.

2. Put the sentences into the negative form. Use short forms (doesn't, don't,
isn't,...)

Example: I like reading. - I don't like reading.

Look for an aviation –related profession and write a short paragraph about
their routine at work. Use the simple present tense. Practise reading aloud. Be
