A Place I Loved As A Child:

One favourite place I remember fondly is my house in India, where my grandparents and
cousins live. On one hand, it is an amazing place and on the other hand, me and my family
enjoy a lot over there.

It is in a marvellous location – Jaipur (also known as the Pink City) and our house is in the
center of the city, right opposite a park. This is one reason every morning, I could hear the
birds chirping, feel the fresh breeze pass over my face and could smell the mud on the
ground – it is all so beautiful

Within the park, there is a well-designed play area of kids. There are slides, see-saw and
swings for all. We used to also play many outdoor games as well like catch your friend;
football, kho-kho; etc.

Other than this, the city has a lot of history attached to it and there are various monuments
and places one can visit like the Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Museums, temples, etc.

The new-age city also has theatres, shopping malls, amusement parks and convention
centers, etc.

Whilst all of the above is beautiful, one main reason I always look forward to visiting my
grandparents house is to enjoy the exquisite meals they cooked for us. All members in my
family are excellent cooks and they would make finger licking dishes for us all. In our trip, we
used to also visit different restaurants to taste a variety of meals and cuisines

The times we have spent together are unforgettable and create memories that I will cherish
for life. This is one reason, Jaipur is one of my favourite places to visit during my holidays.
