VERY IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW THESE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS!

2 Tools / Supplies Needed

− Rubbing alcohol and rag.
− Measuring tape.
− Pencil / marker.

3 Frame and Door Installation

The frame and doors must be installed in accordance with their installation instructions.
Correct all deficiencies with the frame and door installation before installing the astragal seal.
The meeting edge clearance between the doors must be 3/16” (+ 1/32”, - 0”), measured
from the pull side for the full height of the doors.

4 Astragal Installation
1. Cut the bronze seal to be flush with the top of the inactive door and 1/32” above the
threshold. Clean the inactive door meeting edge and install the bronze seal using double-
sided tape, 3/8" from the push side (Figure 1). Cut the bronze seal around latching
hardware (Figure 2). De-burr sharp edges with sandpaper or a file.

2. Insert acoustic rubber into bronze seal and fasten the astragal unit to the push side of the
door. Align the bottom of the steel bracket with the bottom of the door, and the acoustic
rubber must seal against the threshold (Figure 2).

3. Trim the top of the astragal seals flush with the top and push side of the door and to
lightly contact the header soffit (Figure 3).
