Latino Student Spotlight
Latino students made up 54%, or 18,495, of all students enrolled in schools within SJUSD boundaries in 2018-19. This Latino
Student Spotlight includes all of the district and charter schools in SJUSD boundaries that have tested at least 20 students. For
each school below, the pie charts show what percentage of Latino students are enrolled. The bar charts show what percentage
of students are at or above grade level. The Latino state rate lines show what percentage of all Latino students in the state
are meeting or exceeding standards within that specific subject area (English language arts or math) and level of education
(elementary, middle, or high school). The overall state rate lines show what percentage of all students in the state are
meeting or exceeding standards in that subject area and level of education.

*This report focuses on public schools located within San Jose Unified School District (SJUSD) boundaries, including traditional district schools, charter schools authorized by SJUSD, and charter
schools located within district boundaries but authorized by the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE).
**Though the CDE recently released its statewide graduation and UC/CSU eligibility data for 2018-19, there is an error in the data available for San Jose Unified which they are working to correct.
This section of the datasheet will be updated to include the 2018-19 data once it is publicly available.
