OUTAGE UPDATE – Reuven SDC

Warning: The power system is constrained. We urge customers to reduce their electricity
consumption to prevent overloading the system.
City Power Reuven Service Delivery Centre (SDC) is sitting with 367 calls, 247 of those calls were
logged over 24hrs.

Current outage(s):
Central Substation (Wemmer East distributor): Our teams are on site working towards the
replacement of the faulty transformer affecting power supply to customers in Evans, Gabriel and
surrounding streets in Forest Hill. Upon the installation and connection of the transformer, they will
proceed with the necessary repairs and subsequent restoration efforts. The estimated time of
restoration will be communicated in the following updates.

Robertsham Substation (Adcock Ingram distributor): The team is on site diligently working
towards replacing stolen cables that have resulted in an outage affecting power supply to customers
in Aeroton. The team will proceed with the installation, additional repairs and subsequent restoration.
We will keep affected customers updated on further developments.

NOTE:
Load reduction is implemented between peak hours from 4am to 10am, and from 4pm to
10pm in areas with high energy consumption levels. Click here to view the schedule and

During an outage, unplug all appliances to prevent inrush current when power supply is restored.
This minimises the risk of network disruptions and ensures continuous electricity supply.
