The given C-map described basic information about the step-down transformer. Basically, a
step-down transformer is a electrostatic machine that decreases voltage to another machine.
The step-down transformer bases on the mutual induction between two coils placed next to
each other to work. The changing current flows through the first coil, leads to the increase of
voltage in the second coil. About the structure, this transformer is mainly made up of two coils:
primary coil, which has more turns, and secondary coil, which has less turns. When the input AC
voltage is applied to the primary coil, a change in the magnetic field occurs in the laminated
core. Consequently, the output AC voltage is induced in secondary coil. This output AC voltage is
lower than the input one, but at the same time propotional to it.
