Election Schedule and Call for Nominations

To: All Students of KMCT Medical College Date: 19/06/2024

Dear Students,
I hope this message finds you well. As the returning officer for the upcoming college
union election, I am pleased to invite nominations from eligible candidates who are interested in
serving our esteemed institution in this capacity. We are looking for dedicated individuals who
will preserve the excellence, honesty, and professionalism that KMCT Medical College stands
for as well as offer valuable contributions to our community. Submissions are being accepted for
the following positions.
I. Chairperson
II. (a) Vice Chairperson- General
(b) Vice Chairperson- Reserved for women
III. General Secretary
IV. Joint Secretary
V. Secretary Fine Arts
VI. Student Editor of the College Magazine
VII. Secretary Sports and Games
VIII. Two University Union councilors to the KUHS Student’s union (One councilor elected
from the students of all UG classes and one from students of all PG/Superspeciality
classes
IX. One representative from each of UG and PG course for each year and one from PG
representative elected from students of all PG classes together.

Eligibility Criteria:
● No academic arrears in the university examinations.
● 75% attendance during current academic year before filing nomination
● Should have minimum 40% in the internal assessment.
● No misdemeanor or punishment with any fine.
● No prior disciplinary action against the candidate.

Nomination procedure:
1. Nomination Period Begins: 19/06/2024 - The nomination period officially begins.
Interested candidates can collect the nomination form from Dr.Neethi R Krishnan.
2. Deadline for Submitting Nominations: 22/06/2024 - All nominations must be submitted
in writing to Dr.Neethi R Krishnan by 12:00 pm.
3. Verification of Nominations: 24/06/2024 - The nomination will be scrutinised between
10.15 a.m and 12.30 p.m.
 4. Publication of Valid Nominations: A list of valid nominations is published and made
available to the college community on 24/06/2024 by 5 pm
5. Withdrawal of candidature: 25/06/2024 before 12 noon.
6. Publication of final List of Candidates: 25/06/2024 by 4 pm
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the governance and development of our
medical college. I encourage all to consider nominating themselves or nominating suitable
candidates who they believe can effectively fulfill their duties.
