RE: CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) SEMINAR TO TAKE PLACE ON

SATURDAY 29TH JUNE, 2024 AT PIONEER P/S
Soroti City Education Office together with Soroti City Primary Headteachers Association
(SOCIPHA) have organised a one-day CPD seminar for all teachers of Primary and Nursery
section. The seminar will focus mainly on curriculum interpretation and analysis, competence-
based Assessment, appropriate methodology.
Each school is expected to send one teacher in each subject areas of English, Mathematics,
Science, Social Studies with Religious Education and lower primary. The fee will be Ugx shs.
20,000/- per participant payable to the association account No. 01551117663871 in DFCU
bank. This money will take care of meals, refreshments, certification, facilitation of the
facilitators, venue and other utilities.
The venue of the seminar will be Pioneer Primary School from 8:00am and for purposes of
appropriate planning, the deadline for payment shall be Thursday 27th June, 2024 at 2pm.
The purpose of this communication therefore is;
• To inform you of that upcoming event
• To request you to mobilise teachers in your station and the neighbouring schools to
attend this CPD seminar.
• To request you to financially support as many teachers as possible in your school to
attend this CPD seminar.
