To share knowledge about engine hunting in electrical problem.

Failure/Problem

Engine hunting.

Symptom

Error code 128 PID 102 4 was appeared, after key switch ON position. And the engine RPM was dropped
1100 while relief operation at H mode. No smoke emitted and the above case problem sometime.

History

Nothing special case.

Cause & analysis

The error code 128 PID 102 4 concerned with boost pressure sensor.
The error code set, when the - Sensor is defected
- Supply volt short circuit to frame ground
- Socket loosen

Action

Thus we changed the sensor, but nothing changes. We also checked the cable near its socket but the all
cable is abnormal, so we checked the wiring diagram SCH-17 and found the engine oil pressure sensor and
boost pressure sensor were contacted to each other. So we checked the cable on engine oil pressure
sensor and all of cables were worn out. Repaired it and tested the machine, no error code was set and
engine hunting problem was OK.
