Objectives:

o To ensure that timely action to save people and property is taken, utilizing the
available fire detection and suppression systems.

Policy:

o The preservation of human life is paramount in all cases of fire in the

property. Any fire at all is to be treated as important until completely extinguished.

TIME DESCRIPTION
9:30 - 9:33 • A smoke detector alarm activates at certain floor. Code Blue (suspected fire due to the
scent or presence of smoke) will be called out by Lobby Security to ERT and Incident
Commander. Within 3min the ERT personnel must response to the actual location.
• Control operator to start a log of events.
• Record the following:
- Start time of incident
- Exact location of the fire
- Firefighting measures currently occurring.
• ERT to indentify the extent of the fire.

TIME DESCRIPTION
9:33 - 9:35 • ERT to escalate the situation for the activation of IMB (Incident Management Brigade)
• Incident Commander to declare the evacuation of the building before or at the end of
the 5 min marker upon start of Code Blue.
• Upon advice of Incident Commander, reception will call the Makati Fire Department
• Positive General Alarm will be sustained for 5 min.
• Set the Command Post at the designated area prescribed by Rockwell
• Equipment Lead will instruct the Maintenance Supervisor to proceed to the Fire Pump
Room and standby

TIME DESCRIPTION
9:35 - 9:40 • ERT will complete the notification to tenants per floor for the evacuation.
• Fire Marshall will instruct the evacuation team to evacuate all persons in immediate
danger.
• Tenant Safety Officers will initiate the evacuation of their employees.
• Tenants and non-fire brigade personnel will egress to designated fire exit in an orderly
and calm manner. No using of elevator.
• Incident Commander to perform Chief Marshal activities for a confirmed fire until BFP
Chief Marshal arrives.
• Safety In-charge will notify hospitals for transport of injured victims.

TIME DESCRIPTION
9:40 - 9:45 • Complete the evacuation at this point.
• Tenants must fall in line on their designated location at the evacuation area.
• IMB to render further assistance as required.
9:45 - 9:50 • Make sure that all tenants and staffs are accounted for through updating the IMB
Board.
• Each Tenant Safety Officer will notify the Command Post Representative on the head
count of their employees at the evacuation area.
• Incident Commander will hand the control to BFP Chief Marshal on his arrival.
