1. What are your typical job or business duties and responsibilities?
[Ano-ano po ang inyong mga tipikal na tungkulin at responsibilidad sa
trabaho o negosyong inyong pinapasukan?]

Delivering babies (prenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum care) and providing
comprehensive women's healthcare (well-woman exams, family planning, diagnosing and
treating gynecological issues, performing surgeries).

2. What are the necessary skills for this type of job or business?
[Ano-ano ang mga kasanayan o skills na kinakailangan sa trabaho o negosyo ninyo?]

The job requires a strong foundation in medical knowledge, particularly obstetrics and
gynecology. Proficiency in examinations, ultrasounds, and potentially surgery is essential.
Beyond technical skills, excellent communication is key to explaining complex medical
information to patients and collaborating with colleagues. Empathy and compassion are crucial
for supporting women through various stages of life. Finally, critical thinking, sound decision-
making, and time management skills are vital for navigating fast-paced situations and delivering
quality care.

3. What is the most satisfying aspect of your job or business?

I find it the most rewarding aspect is to be at the heart of life's miracles: witnessing the birth of a
new baby and being a part of a family's journey during such a momentous occasion. It's a
culmination of months of care, culminating in a moment of immense joy and the privilege of
welcoming new life into the world.

4. What is the most challenging aspect of your job or business?

 [Ano naman po ang mga hamon o balakid na nakikita ninyo sa inyong trabaho o
negosyo?]

I think the most challenging part is the emotional rollercoaster we experience. They experience
the immense joy of childbirth but also face the heartbreak of miscarriage, difficult diagnoses, or
complications. This ability to manage a wide range of emotions while providing unwavering
support is a hallmark of this demanding yet rewarding profession.

5. What are the personal characteristics, values, and attitude that are needed
in your job or business?
[Ano-ano po ang mga katangian, kahalagahan, at saloobin na
kinakailangan sa trabaho o negosyo ninyo?]

A ob-gyn has to be compassionate and should possess empathetic nature to connect with patients
on a deeper level. Strong communication is key to explaining complex medical situations and
building trust. Resilience is essential to navigate the emotional weight of challenging cases.
Finally, a commitment to lifelong learning ensures they stay abreast of the latest medical
advancements to provide the best possible care.

6. Do you also possess these characteristics, values, and attitudes? If yes, what are those
that you possess?
[Mayroon din po ba kayong ng mga katangian, kahalagahan, at saloobing

Yes, I believe over the course of 5 years I have developed the values I mentioned earlier.

My passion for this job is being driven by my core beliefs that fuel their dedication. These might
include a deep respect for the miracle of life and a desire to be a part of it. They likely believe in
the importance of women's health and empowering them to make informed choices throughout
their lives. Finally, a strong sense of responsibility to provide exceptional care and navigate
difficult situations with compassion would be a guiding principle.
2. Does the company or business where you belong have a mission statement and core

Kung oo, ano ang pahayag na misyon ng inyong kumpanya o negosyo? Ano-ano
naman ang mahahalagang pag-uugali nito?

Yes, our company's mission is "To provide affordable and accessible specialized health services,
training and research through state-of-the art technology in Zamboanga Peninsula in support of
the Philippine Health Agenda". For the core values, we have compassion, professionalism,
excellence, safety, culture/gender sensitive, and holistic approach.

What is your advice for me as a Grade 12 learner who likes to enter in this
same field of work or business that you have or you are in ?
[Anong payo po ang maibibigay ninyo sa isang mag-aaral sa Grade 12 na
katulad ko na nagbabalak ding pasukin sa hinaharap ang trabaho o
negosyong katulad ng sa inyo?]

As a future OB-GYN, focus on sciences in high school, volunteer for patient care experience,
and research the field through job shadowing. Strong academics and communication skills are
key. Prepare for college pre-med programs and the MCAT. Remember, a love for learning is
essential for this field.
