“In the world of business, the people who are most successful

are those who are doing what they love.” - Warren Buffett

In doing business, indeed, it takes a lot of failures and mistakes before everyone commends you
for your success. Even if it's challenging, when you're passionate about what you do, challenges
become simple and failures become accomplishments. Business is fun!

On February 13, 2023, we conducted our business proposal together with the other group in our
class, and we were allotted a set amount of time for the presentation and the question and answer
session. The fact that we know we can do more than that makes us say it was amazing, but with a
tinge of disappointment. Still, I suppose it is vital for us to move on. Following the business
proposal, our instructor offered feedback and advised us to be more detailed and outline the
boundaries of our services. In terms of our method for delivering the documents, as she
commented, "can we deliver them on time?" However, we would say that the students would
have to put up with our situation or our rules in terms of delivery method because they can
understand that we are also students who can't control our own schedules but are only trying our
best to make a profit and assist those students who need our help. On February 23, we also
discussed putting limits on our idea, refining it, and taking note of our instructor's ideas. To
ensure that the students are aware of any restrictions, we have given our delivery services a time
frame.

Fast forward: We were given the assignment to create an empathy map on Monday, but in order
to validate our business, we now need to conduct new interviews with our target market. If they
would use it and be prepared to pay for our services at reasonable, student-friendly pricing, In
order to discuss the assignment, our group planned to get together after our calculus class. We
have planned and detailed every item on our agenda in order to have a meeting that runs
smoothly and is finished as quickly as possible. We talked about our intended audience, how
many individuals would be interviewed, and the format of the interviews at our discussion. After
that, we divided the work so that everyone would contribute to its completion. In the end, we
planned to interview at least forty students who didn't have printers and would have their articles
printed at local print shops.

On February 28, we scheduled a formal meeting to go over our method of validation and who
would be responsible for this task's finalization. On March 1-2, we came to the decision that we
would use an online interview by sending a Google survey form to our target market, which are
the students from certain colleges who don't have their own printers. Out of 40 respondents, 33
students indicated that we consider pursuing this concept.

We were tasked with making an empathy map to fully understand and empathize with the point
of view of our target market, which are the students from COE, CISC, CAS, EDUC, VETMED,
AGRI, and CBM who need to print their paperwork as they don't have their own printers.

The second question of the map is what they need to do, which is access our printing website,
sign up, log in, get access, print their documents in a convenient and affordable way, and have
hard copies at hand hassle-free.
The third is what they see as we ask various questions, such as;

 What kind of printing services do you usually see in the market?

 Do your friends often go to the printing shops?
 Have you encountered a printing business that utilizes a website for fast transactions?

And on what they say:

 Is it accessible to have your documents printed at the market? Why or why not?
 Do you think it's affordable? Why?
 What are your insights about having easy and affordable printing services?
 How much is your budget for printing certain documents? Is it worth it?

Fifth, on what they do:

 Do you usually print the lessons (documents) that your instructor has given you?
 What do you do when you need to print documents?
 Do you go to the market when you have a document that needs to be printed?
 What do you do if printing shops are far away?

Sixth, on what do they hear?

 What did others tell you about printing services at our school?
 Did others tell you where they printed their documents?
 Did someone tell you where the most convenient and affordable printing shops are
located?
 Did you hear someone suggest a printing shop here in Central Mindanao University?

And for the last question, on what do they feel and think wherein the pains are as mentioned:

 How do you feel about having to go to the market to print your documents?
 What are your options for printing your documents?
 How much are you willing to pay for the printing service?

And their gains are:

 What are your insights into how to solve this problem?

 What are your suggestions to somehow lessen your burden?
 Do you still believe that these solutions to your problems are therefore attainable?
