OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject : Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief to Central Government
employees till July 2022,
1. The undersigned is directed to say that in view of increasing cases of OMICRON
(COVID-19, SARS-2), it has been decided that the Dearness Allowance
payable to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief to Central
Government pensioners, payble at current rates are to be kept in abeyance
so as to deal with any unprecedented situation,
2. As and when the decision to release Dearess Allowance and Deamess Relief
due from Ist Januarary 2022 is taken by the Government, the rates of Dearness
Allowance and Dearness Relief as effective from Ist January 2022 will be
restored prospectively and will be subsumed in the cumulative revised rate. .
3. These orders shall be applicable to all Central Government employees and
Central Government pensioners. Finance department of all ministries are heareby
directed to control the additional expenditure such as — TA, Honorarium, CTG
etc. as justifiable.
4, To utilize human resources effectively in logistics support, medical assistance
etc, such ministries may control transfer and posting as deem fit.
