Purpose for this Policy

To effectively protect health and safety of ePP system user while using IT equipment and to maintain
usability of all IT equipment, infrastructure and facilities by ePassport system user and
representatives.

Policy Statement

All ePP system users must safeguard the ePP IT infrastructure and devices as part of their daily
actions and work routines by following the rules outlined below. The mentioned steps shall be
followed as a daily routine

Workplace Checklist

The above mentioned steps shall be followed as a daily routine by every employee using ePP
workstations before starting work:

1 Clean your keyboard and mouse

1.1 Clean the keyboard with antibacterial wipes

1.2 Clean the mouse with antibacterial wipes

2 Dust the computer unit

2.1 Make sure machine is turned off

2.2 Clean the exterior of the workstation with anti static cloth

3 Organize your cables

3.1 Make sure no cables are obstructing access to the machine (power
cables, network cables, etc.)

3.2 Make sure no cables are obstructing access to the workspace (cables to
signature pad, Iris camera, face camera, fingerprint reader, etc.)

3.3 Make sure all cables are in good condition

4 Clean Scanner Unit

4.1 Press the power button to turn the printer off, and then disconnect the
power cable from the electrical outlet.

4.2 Open the scanner lid. Clean the scanner glass and the white plastic
backing underneath the scanner lid with a soft cloth or sponge that has
been moistened with nonabrasive glass cleaner.
4.3 Dry the glass and white plastic parts with a chamois or a cellulose
sponge to prevent spotting.

4.4 Connect the power cable to an outlet, and then press the power button
to turn the printer on.

5 Clean other devices

5.1 Clean the exterior of the camera body (DSLR) with dry, anti static cloth

5.2 Clean the exterior of the signature pad and the signature pen with a
dry, anti static cloth
